The Right Light for the Job
It all comes down to the wavelength. You need the exact kind of light that tells the ink to harden instantly. We make sure the light hits the fabric evenly across the whole width of the web. No “cold spots,” no tacky patches—just a clean, dry finish. Depending on your ink, you can go with mercury vapor or LED arrays. The high-wattage tubes have a lot of raw power, which is great for thick pigments, but they get hot.**Really hot.**You’ll want to make sure your cooling fans or water jackets are up to the task so you don’t accidentally scorch your fabric.
Built for the Shop Floor
These aren’t delicate lab instruments. We build them for the real world. Our modules use standard brackets, so you can just drop them in and get moving. We use high-grade quartz glass to let the UV light through while keeping the heat where it belongs. Plus, we reinforce every electrical connection. High-speed presses vibrate—a lot. We don’t do flimsy wiring; everything we use is rated for the grind of a 24/7 industrial shift.
Speed vs. Quality: Finding the Sweet Spot
Here’s the thing: if you want to run the line faster, you need more intensity. We can crank up the wattage to keep your throughput high, but there’s a catch. More power means more heat hitting the fabric. It’s a balancing act. We’ll work with you to find that perfect middle ground where the ink cures fully, but the fabric doesn’t shrink or warp. We’ll give you all the raw numbers—voltage, amperage, peak wavelength—so you can wire it up, calibrate it, and stop worrying about defects.
